Job description:
- scientific service in research in the field of Local Climate Governance in the project „Next Generation Sustainable Business Models and Monitoring for Rural Resilience and Innovation“ (NEXRUR)
- contribution to research on the emerging role of local governments or cities in climate policy
Requirements:
- completed scientific university education in economics or a related discipline (desirably with above-average degree)
- skills in game theoretical modelling, or micro-economic modelling, or simulation models
- interest in economic research on environmental problems, natural resources and sustainability
- proficiency in English
- A plus would be:
- knowledge of and interest in one or more of the following topics: local governance, climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation.
- Familiarity with theories in the fields of political economy, public economics or institutional economics
- interest to combine qualitative and quantitative methods desirable
- track record as a strong team player
- satisfactory German
