Job description:

  • scientific service in research within the framework of the research project „Stage-specific response variability of yield components to environmental fluctuations during generative development of winter wheat“ funded by German Research Foundation (DFG)
  • planning/ practical implementation to study winter wheat in greenhouse and growth chamber
  • data collection, data processing and statistical analyses
  • publication of results in journals and at conferences
  • participation in the preparation of reports
  • organisation of and participation in group meetings and seminars (Journal Club, Colloquium etc.)
  • tasks for personal scientific qualification

Requirements:

  • completed scientific university education (PhD desired) in the field of agricultural sciences, plant science, genetics, plant breeding or biology
  • very good knowledge in the field of planning experiments and evaluation of data using program R
  • knowledge in yield physiology of cereal crops, genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and statistical models and the publication of Sabir et al. (2023, Nat. Plants. 9:1688-1696)
  • very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
  • ability to work in a team and high motivation
