Responsibilities:
- scientific tasks in research in the context of the DFG project "What do underwriters learn from investors?" and completion of tasks relating to your doctoral qualification
- depending on the candidate’s previous training, completion of the qualification phase (or part thereof) of the structured doctoral program of the Berlin School of Economics in the finance track is feasible
- preparation for a PhD
Requirements:
- excellent university degree in economics or related fields
- very good knowledge of finance (financial intermediation or corporate finance) and econometrics
- very good knowledge of English
- an advantage would be: programming skills, experience in dealing with databases, experience with empirical analysis
What we offer:
The Chair of Finance, together with the Chairs of Corporate Finance and Financial Economics, forms the Finance Group at Humboldt University. We are a team consisting of three professors, several postdocs, and around 6-8 PhD students with the aim of publishing research in leading international scientific journals. Current research interests are in the areas of: financial intermediation, corporate finance, risk management, debt financing, and behavioural corporate finance. We are open to new research projects in financial intermediation and corporate finance, especially climate finance.
