Job description:

  • scientific service in research in the ERC Starting Grant project FREE-VIEW on active visual perception
  • planning, conducting, and analyzing psychophysical experiments with eye tracking
  • contribution to the development and implementation of experimental paradigms (e.g. in MATLAB/Psychtoolbox)
  • analysis and modeling of behavioral and eye-movement data
  • collaboration with international project partners as well as participation in project meetings and conferences
  • contribution to publications and presentations of the research results
  • tasks for personal scientific qualification (doctoral degree)

 

Requirements:

  • completed scientific university education in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, computer science, or a related discipline
  • very good knowledge of experimental methodology and data analysis
  • programming skills (preferably MATLAB or Python)
  • experience in conducting and analyzing eye-tracking experiments
  • willingness to become acquainted with additional experimental methods (e.g. TMS, VR)
  • very good command of English in spoken and written form (at least B2)
  • knowledge of German is an advantage (B1)
  • independent and well-structured working style, strong teamwork skills, and high motivation for scientific qualification
