- Aufgabengebiet
- Scientific services in research within the framework of the junior research group ‘resilient urban landscapes in global change’, which will establish a science–policy interface for municipal biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation with nature-based solutions
- Processing and evaluation of remote sensing data, including methods of computer vision
- Statistical evaluation of municipal secondary data
- Participation in workshops and other participatory processes
- Supervision of students
- Interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary cooperation in a junior research group
- Close cooperation with cooperation partners in statistical data evaluation
- Publication and presentation of results in international scientific journals and at Conferences
- Tasks for own scientific qualification (doctorate)
- Anforderungen
- Completed scientific university degree in geography, (geo)informatics, landscape ecology or comparable disciplines
- Profound knowledge of GIS software, programming languages such as R or
- Python, and word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Very good data processing skills, ideally with a focus on remote sensing
- Very good written and spoken English and German (each at least B2)
- Experience in working with municipal decision-makers is a great advantage
- High degree of independence, commitment, flexibility, resilience and ability to work in a team
- General interest in socio-ecological issues in urban planning and urban research is expected
