Job description:
- scientific services in research within the BMBF BattFutur project ANaBatt in the field of alkali-metal batteries with solid electrolytes and sulfur cathodes
- design, construction and cycling of electrochemical cells
- focus: sulfur cathodes
- data analysis, modelling and scientific reports
Requirements:
- completed university degree and PhD if applicable in the field of material science, chemistry, engineering or comparable disciplines with the best possible academic performance
- experience in battery research and construction of electrochemical cells
- experience in development of sulfur cathodes is an important advantage
- experience with solid-electrolyte-batteries is an advantage
- ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with various partners
- proven experience in writing scientific manuscripts and publishing in scientific journals – good publication record
- very good command of written and spoken English (at least B2)
- good knowledge of German is an important advantage (at least A2)
- ability to work in a team, good organizing ability, high degree of motivation, reliable communication
- proven ability to raise third-party funding is an advantage
- interest to contribute to the research project for at least two years
