Job description:

• scientific services in research within the BMBF BattFutur project ANaBatt in the field of alkali-metal batteries with solid electrolytes and sulfur cathodes
• design, construction and cycling of electrochemical cells
• focus: sulfur cathodes
• data analysis, modelling and scientific reports

Requirements:

• completed university degree and PhD if applicable in the field of material science, chemistry, engineering or comparable disciplines with the best possible academic performance
• experience in battery research and construction of electrochemical cells
• experience in development of sulfur cathodes is an important advantage
• experience with solid-electrolyte-batteries is an advantage
• ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment with various partners
• proven experience in writing scientific manuscripts and publishing in scientific journals – good publication record
• very good command of written and spoken English (at least B2)
• good knowledge of German is an important advantage (at least A2)
• ability to work in a team, good organizing ability, high degree of motivation, reliable communication
• proven ability to raise third-party funding is an advantage
• interest to contribute to the research project for at least two years
