Job description:
- scientific service in research in the field of Business Development, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Transitions in the project „Next Generation Sustainable Business Models and Monitoring for Rural Resilience and Innovation“ (NEXRUR, funded by Horizon Europe)
- key role as liaison person between Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and Leibniz Institute for Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy (ATB)
Requirements:
- completed scientific university education (desirably with above-average degree), on topics related to rural development, sustainable innovations and transitions, business economics, or agricultural economics, preferably a PhD
- methodological skills and proven experience with mixed methods designs
- a research-oriented attitude with a strong scientific mindset, combined with a deep interest in business, economic, and policy analysis of transformations in rural areas
- experience with participatory, action-oriented, co-creative approaches to research
- experience in working with stakeholders, with transdisciplinary teams and methods
- strong organizational skills to co-coordinate an interdisciplinary team
- enthusiasm and self-reliance
- very good written and spoken English (min. C1)
- knowledge of and interest in one or more of the following topics: agriculture and bioeconomy, organizational studies, institutional economics
- a plus would be:
- willingness to prepare project reports and contribute to research proposals
- experience with teaching and coaching students
- experience with organization and administration of larger research grants
- knowledge of German and Chinese
