Goal of the project is to analyze gene-regulatory networks underlying the establishment of the floral ground plan as part of the ERC Synergy project RESYDE. The research fellow will apply spatial transcriptomics and single cell omics approaches combined with assays that assess transcription factor functions in early flower development. You will become a member of the cross-disciplinary, international RESYDE team with project partners in Sweden, UK and Australia.

 

Job description:

  • scientific services in research in the ERC Synergy project RESYDE
  • apply a combination of spatial genomics, imaging and transcription factor technologies to early differentiation in the floral stem cell population
  • plan and implement experiments and data analysis in close cooperation with project partners

 

Requirements:

  • completed scientific university degree (preferably above-average degree) and if applicable PhD inbiology, biochemistry or related discipline with a focus on molecular biology, (epi-)genetics or developmental biology
  • interest in plant developmental patterning processes and gene regulation
  • proven track record (scientific publications or preprints)
  • good command of written and spoken English
