Job description:

  • Scientific services in research and teaching in in particular for the development of optically controllable molecular materials
  • Molecular design and organic synthesis of photoswitchable molecules and investigation of their distinct properties
  • Tasks for your own scientific qualification (PhD)

 

Requirements:

  • Completed scientific university Master’s degree with a specialization in organic chemistry, synthetic materials chemistry or related fields, all with relevant experience in experimental work
  • In-depth knowledge of organic synthesis and spectroscopic (possibly microscopic) characterization of molecular materials mandatory
  • Good theoretical background in optical spectroscopy and data interpretation required
  • Experience in photochemistry is an advantage
  • Experience with standard software such as ChemDraw and data analysis tools like Origin are a plus
  • Very good proficiency in written and spoken English required
